What’s the first step?
First we will set up a meeting with you and your animals. During this free consultation we will go over all of their care, needs, and personality traits. We will also need copies of their vaccination records, phone numbers, to reach you while you're away, a local emergency contact, as well as alarm codes and other pass codes as needed.
What area do we service?
Currently we service Linden, Markham, and Front Royal, Virginia. Any other locations are available depending on schedule availability.
What’s Required from the Pet Owner?
• A key or other form of entrance into your home
• Proof of vaccinations for all pets
• A completed service contract and emergency vet release form
• You must notify us of any person coming to the house while you are away
• Animals supplies, food, etc on hand
What forms of payment do we accept?
Cash, check, Zelle, and PayPal. All payment is due at beginning of services.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes we are! We are insured through the Pet Sitters Associates. We have been in business since March 2015.
What sets Misty Mountain Pet Sitting apart from others?
One of the most important differences is that we are insured, where as many others are not. This is especially important to owners because if something gets broken, or someone gets hurt, our insurance can step in and help. We have also been in business since 2015 and are still going strong! With a lifetime of experience with animals of all sorts I can rarely be phased and am able to keep a calm and level head in stressful situations or emergencies. Most of all, we really love animals and love working with them everyday.
Do we do visits in winter/bad weather?
Yes! There may be times we can not travel to a midday visit because of snow or weather but we will do our absolute best to get there. If we are pet sitting in the winter and a storm is approaching while the owner is out-of-town, we may elect to stay at the home to ensure the pet is taken care of.
Do you work with all animals?
Yes, dogs, cats, reptiles, farm animals, all sort of critters are welcome to join the Misty Mountain Pet Sitting family.
No, we are not a boarding facility nor can we accept client animals into our home under any circumstances.
